L’ONG Orangi Pilot Project (OPP) a appuyé les habitants des quartiers informels de Karachi pour construire un réseau d’assainissement planifié, financé et géré par la communauté.

Ce sont, en tout, 183 160 systèmes d’assainissement auto-construits, répartis dans 7 893 rues dans le quartier d’Orangi et 5 788 dans d’autres zones.
